Family Adventure Series

Learning Tree Farm is excited to announce our month-long Autumn Family Adventure Series! In order to keep everyone safe and to meet current guidelines due to COVID-19, instead of a single Autumn Fest event, we’ll kick off a month-long series on September 26th that will continue through October 25th where families will complete weekly challenges in the new Autumn Family Adventure Series at the farm. Just like Autumn Fest, this is the Farm’s only fundraiser of the year.

For just $30 per family, you’ll receive unlimited visits to the farm between September 26 and October 25, a new interactive activity each week, and a chance to win a free private party at the farm*. Sign up now to reserve your family’s spot and support the Farm!

*To be eligible to win the private party, you must complete all four activities and turn in your activity card. Prize includes one (1) 2-hour party for up to 10 people and must be scheduled in advance with Learning Tree Farm.

Weekly Schedule

Week 1 – Fitness on the Farm

In this fun, interactive week, families will focus on physical activity by taking a trip through our obstacle course and taking a one-mile walk in the woods while they complete a scavenger hunt game!

At the end of their scavenger hunt, children will receive a Learning Tree Farm explorer patch!

Week 2 – A Step Back In Time

Did you know that Learning Tree Farm was settled by a pioneer family in the early 1800s? Visitors will explore what life was like as a pioneer family through a storybook farm tour featuring a Laura Ingalls Wilder picture book story! Kids will get hands-on by making their own corn husk dolls and taking part in farm chores.

Families will leave with a recipe for homemade butter, a farm favorite that you can prepare at home!

Week 3 – Growing In The Garden

In our third week of hands-on farm learning, we’re heading to the garden to explore how things grow on the farm. Families will learn about pollinators and the importance of bees in a fun bee simulation game. Children will also make a living necklace with a bean seed!

After completing this week’s challenge, children will leave with a pre-packaged sweet treat!

Week 4 – Farm Animal Friends

What a fun month we’ve had on the farm. We’ve explored the garden, life as a pioneer family, and our woods. Now it’s time to put our farm animal knowledge to the test through a fun riddle adventure!

At the end of the challenge, we’ll reflect on the day and make a lasting memory of our favorite farm animal!
