Homeschool Days
Friday 09 September 2016, 10:00am - 01:00pm
Contact Meredith Florkey, education@learningtreefarm.org

Learning Tree Farm education staff will be on site on September 9th to dedicate their time to homeschool families. Our everyday farm chores will be showcased on this exciting day spent learning on the farm. There are many things that the farmer needs to do in order to have a productive and successful farm. This program typically is given to children in grades 2 - 6. Younger siblings are always welcome and will be included in the activities.

At this program, your family will:

  • Enjoy hands-on activities that show the realities of farm life both present and historical
  • Work with our staff at multiple stations around the farm
  • Explore the garden and its fall produce
  • Visit the farm animals in our historic barns
  • Tour the Century House - an 1800's era farmhouse
  • Bring your lunch or snack to enjoy in our covered picnic shelter
  • Finish out the day with a sheep herding demonstration to give our tired "dogs" a break!

Learning Tree Farm will reduce its normal admission fee for this program to $5 per person.  Admissions will be handled at the entrance of the farm that morning. Children 2 and under are free.

Location Learning Tree Farm 3376 S Union Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45417
