Dear Friends of Learning Tree Farm,

It is an exciting time at the Farm! With this newsletter, we are inviting you to be a partner in our growth and our efforts for continuous improvement at Learning Tree Farm.

We are beginning to plan for the future. Our plan, Growing Together at the Farm, will take Learning Tree Farm forward for the next 3-5 years.

Phase 1:

Reviewed Mission Statement – The Board of Trustees met in September and affirmed the present Mission Statement: to facilitate hands-on learning experiences in a traditional farm setting
Created a Vision Statement – the Board of Trustees with input from the Staff created the Vision Statement: Learning Tree Farm will continually enrich its multifaceted education programs and unique facilities to serve the community year round.

Phase 2:

Mail introductory letter and SWOT Survey – January 1, 2008
Collect SWOT Survey (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats – January 2008
Develop Challenges based on the SWOT data – February 2008
Publish Challenges – March 2008 Newsletter

Phase 3:

Seek input from foundations, groups, individuals on how to solve the challenges.
Continuous update of the progress of Growing Together at the Farm.

We want a great response! Therefore, a Dayton Gift Basket will be given to the first person who returns a completed SWOT Survey and another Dayton Gift Basket will be raffled and each person who returns a completed SWOT Survey will be entered into the raffle.
